Panel One Comic Creators Festival 2017: Interview With Erin Millar

Later this week, the Hillhurst Community Association in Calgary will play host to the second annual Panel One Comic Creator Festival on Saturday, June 3, 2017. I recently sat down with the founder of Panel One, Erin Millar, and talked about the show that celebrates and promotes the works of numerous creators, including writers, artists, colorists and more. Panel One - the organization - is a collective of comics creators that was initially set up to bring together creators in Calgary, but has since ballooned in popularity to be more of a Canadian collective, with members hailing from not just Calgary and around the province of Alberta, but into BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, too.

The Panel One show is purely about the comicbooks and where the great works of creators come together for one day. The beauty of this show is that it is extremely accessible for people of all ages, with a cover price of $5, with $1 from every admission going directly to the Calgary Food Bank. So, hit play on the Soundcloud link and have a listen to Erin Millar talk about all things Panel One. And, one more thing, be sure to get yourself down to the Hillhurst Community Association on Saturday, June 3 for a fun and intimate comicbook show.

This interview was written and recorded by Chris Doucher, Managing Editor for GeeknNerdNet.com.
