Recently, I interviewed Ryan Ferrier, Canadian comic book writer based in Calgary, Alberta, with comics such as Tiger Lawyer, Terminals, The Brothers James, D4VE, Kennel Block Blues, KONG on the Planet of the Apes, G.I. Joe vs. The Million Dollar Man, Death Orb (October 2018) and so many more in his long list of titles to date. But today - September 19, 2018 - is the release of his latest, and highly-anticipated original graphic novel: CRIMINY. Illustrated by the legendary Roger Langridge (SNARKED!), and written by Ferrier & Langridge, and published by Dark Horse Comics. I hold nothing back when I say that you should rush out to your local comic book shop and get your hands on this story. CRIMINY is an imaginative, fun, and heartfelt adventure that’s great for any reader. (Also, the official release date in bookstores is October 4.)

Hit play on the Soundcloud link and listen as Ferrier gives us the unexpected origin behind the story of CRIMINY, how he got to work with one of his heroes (Langridge), and the process of weaving this story together, including Ferrier’s first crack at poetry.
