Actress Andrea Sixtos as Zoe on Arrow on The CW.

Arrow is one of the top TV shows on The CW, and the show has put DC Comics on TV at the top when it comes to great story telling inspired its famous comic book characters. Arrow, currently in its eighth and final season will leave many fans wondering what will come after, but first, I had the chance to interview actress Andrea Sixtos - who portrays the grown up version of Zoe on the hit show.

******SPOILER ALERT! If you have NOT seen season 8 yet, come back later on and read this interview. ******

Now, kick back and enjoy her Q&A:

You play the adult version of Zoe Ramirez in Arrow, a character much like a number of Arrow characters
that has a rough past. Seeing what Zoe went through as a child how did you utilize that information to
formulate what kind of adult she would be, especially in the sort of future episodes that you are
featured in?

I definitely took into consideration the past of younger Zoe while delving into how I'd approach the adult version of her. She really did have a rough childhood and like the saying goes what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Zoe grew up to be a tough, smart and courageous woman with a strong desire to follow in her fathers footsteps of being a vigilante, whether he approved of it or not. She sees it as her destined responsibility to clean up the crime ridden city that took her mothers life right in front of her. Though Zoe endured a lot of pain in her past she didn't allow it to harden her, she has a big heart and takes pride in the fact that she gets to keep her community and the people closest to her safe. I feel so honored to be able to portray such a strong female character.

Arrow is in its last season this year, season 8, but your first appearance was obviously last season. The
show birthed an entire universe, what the fans had taken to calling the Arrowverse, was it intimidating
at all for you being on a show with such a rich history and such a loyal fan base? Were there any special
preparations you made for the show or your character?

I mean ya! Jumping onto a show that had such a HUGE impact in the DC world was as much nerve wracking as it was exciting! But since the beginning I've been treated with so much respect and everyone involved with the show both in front and behind the cameras are so genuine and kind. The fans have been nothing but supportive of Zoe and to feel all that love has been very special! I knew I had to cast any fears aside and take on the role with confidence, it was the only way. I believe everything happens for a reason and I've just been super grateful for the whole experience, it's been a dream come true really.

As we head into the 8th and final season, that has debuted, what can we expect from your character? Is
there anything you can tell us non-spoiler wise about what the future may hold for you?

Well as we all know by now, the season opens with Future Team Arrow aka FTA working together as a team without the older adults for the first time. From the get go we witness the team facing challenges because they cant seem to sync or agree with each other enough to successfully execute their missions, which causes a lot of tension between the 4 of them, especially between Zoe and Mia. In episode 3 Mia decides to make a risky choice to lead with her heart instead of her head which ends up putting the whole team in danger. Despite Zoe's clear opposition to the idea she ends up taking the leap of faith and goes along with the plan, she would never turn her back on her team. Unfortunately while saving Mia's life on this mission Zoe faces a brutal death at the end of the episode, she went out a true hero. As for the fate of Zoe in the future? Well, it's a well known fact that anything is possible in the Arrowverse world, so we'll have to just wait and see!

Last question, and one I ask anyone I interview. What advice would you give to someone looking to get
into acting?

First and foremost, ask yourself why you wanna be an actor. If its an answer that stirs your soul to its core and it isn't just for the fame and fortune? I'd say go for it! Study your ass off and never give up. You'll see tough times and you'll have plenty lulls, but that's when your why will play a huge part in keeping your faith alive. Believe in yourself and understand that it's your true essence and authentic personality that essentially books you the role, so be secure in who you are and know that you bring a unique energy to every room and every character you take on. Patience is a virtue in this industry but your time will come eventually, just keep your passion strong and trust in divine timing, you got this!
