If you don’t know Frank Cho and his absolutely incredible work over the years, then you’re in luck because he took time form his super-busy table at the inaugural Fan Expo San Francisco. His cover work is some of the most sought after comic books for fans to get their hands on. Regardless if you read the book or not. Plus, his most recent series FIGHT GIRLS, publsihed by AWA was a massive hot and which has him working ona follow-up series for it. To say this man moves the needle in terms of comic book sales would be a massive understatement. On an art note, I have noticed and friends have noticed too, how he draws strong women in comics to actually look how they should. For instance, his Wonder Woman work, he says he starts off drawing the character thinking of his admiration of actress Lynda Carter who played Wonder Woman on the popular 80’s TV series. As Cho puts it: “Over time, I like very strong women…as beautiful, powerful figures. Go ahead and listen to the full interview and listen as Cho talks about all the above, as well as which DC and Marvel characters he would love to draw.
