Calgary Expo 2017: A Fun Sit Down With Cartoonist Robert Pope

On the second day of the Calgary Expo, Cartoonist, Robert Pope, took time away from his busy table to chat with me about his work, and all the fun that comes with it. To say that this gentleman is one of the nicest and humblest professional's I have met, would be a massive understatement.

HIs breadth of work - fun work, that is - is second-to-none. From Space Ghost and Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo and Batman: Brave and the Bold to Charlie Brown, Robert's work is definitely the tops in the business. Outside the work, he tries to get to as many conventions as he possibly can. His fans line up for commission work from the moment he sits down. Have a listen to our interview (hit play on the Soundcloud link below), as we start with his process; from scripted page to finished work. Plus, he gives us his views on creating 100% digitally versus pen-to-paper. Especially, when it comes to drawing Charlie Brown - some great insights there, and so much more.

Thank you, Robert, for taking the time to chat. You're awesome!
